  My current focus is to build web applications which integrate with our back end .NET service and integrate with third party applications there, notably Sage 50 Accounts and Act!The webapps are built on Foundation for Sites, with JavaScipt/jQuery AJAX links to the PHP/MySql back end and from there on to the Windows service running on client servers where integrations with Windows-based products is done. The webapp itself also uses OAuth to integrate with Exact's webapp.I am responsible for our website infrastructure and products, including our custom CMS, web applications such as Purchase Order Control, and all our Sage add-ons such as Code Changer, Sales Assistant, Purchase Order Control (desktop version) and others.

  At Jumar, I was responsible for the maintenance of existing products, and for development of new products, which largely meant extensions to the Project Phoenix Gen rejuvenation capability. The work was often to enable moving a Gen application to another platform, or to break down a large model into components, which is done using an API. Some other Phoenix applications required generation of source code and/or configuration files in order for applications to run in a different way or to integrate with third party applications, in which case the generation of the relevant files would be done based on the contents of the Gen model, read using the API.Previously I largely developed and maintained the products alone for long periods, but since 2011 I managed a small team which included another developer and a tester, with occasional support from temporary resources, so I had to divide up and coordinate work, mentor where appropriate, and try to ensure a good team atmosphere.I also oversaw the transition from VB6 to VB10 in late 2010/early 2011, at the same time improving stability, error-handling and common code reuse throughout the product suite.
