I have known Dan for over a year, and find him to be a very approachable and knowledgeable gent, who will always try his best to help. Dan is clearly very skilled, forward thinking and an excellent communicator - a great motorcycle industry professional who I’d have no trouble to recommend.

Through gaining experience in my previous role in the company I was given the opportunity to progress into the role of Business Development Manager for Llexeter. My objective was to improve the distribution of the Pulse and Lexmoto Motorcycle and scooter brands throughout the UK whilst also reviewing company procedures and activities to assess where improvements could be made. Lexmoto and Pulse have increased market share to now account for over a third of all Chinese Motorcycles being sold in the UK with Lexmoto holding it's place as the biggest Learner Legal exclusive and Chinese Motorcycle brand in the UK. After overseeing the rebranding of Pulse products into the Lexmoto range the brand has consistently featured in the MCIA registration stats. My role has extended to include analysis of the Motorcycle and scooter market whilst researching new models that can compliment our existing range and advance the company further. Within my role I have visited China many times to assess the potential of business with a supplier whilst also overseeing the product specification, pricing, colour and graphic options and marketing for each new model. I'm always keen to hear back from dealers and suppliers for their feedback on how we can improve further whilst always being keen to enter discussion with other industry professionals who simply share an interest in an activity I love and want to help build further. So far my product development has influenced the entire Lexmoto range into a competitive well rounded range capable of benefiting our dealerships and riders alike.

I entered the role excited to combine my previous retail experience with my passion for motorcycles. Although I was only tasked to oversee the operations of the company registration process and provide support to the account managers, I was given the opportunity to begin acquiring my own leads and begin managing my own accounts alongside my own duties. Managing company accounts across the UK allowed me to become familiar with both the company and it's operations which allowed me begin developing solutions on how the company could better function to become more efficient. I provided input on new models including the suggestion of products, their names, colour schemes and specifications. I volunteered my time to develop the brand further through producing new images and descriptions through my experience in photography and creative writing. By the end of 2011 I was the main contributor to the companies social media pages and interest had grown significantly. In my first year we saw Llexeter rise to account for over a third of all Chinese Motorcycles sold in the UK and it's brand Lexmoto become the first Chinese Motorcycle brand to feature in the UK top ten motorcycle brands. Participation in the Motorcycle Live 2011 event was positive and despite being part of a core team of only three we received much much praise from consumers who were able to acknowledge the improvements in the products we offered. Whilst at the event I created a social media project which combined taking pictures of consumers on the bikes and getting them to obtain the images from our facebook pages to encourage brand awareness. The role gave me the foundations to progress into a new role created within the company to aid business development.

    • Onsite Technical Specialist / Technical Support

Whilst entering the role as a basic technical support agent for Toshiba laptops I was quickly able to engage the role and excel in offering support to Toshiba Customers in what was their sole UK phone support site. I progressed quickly into the role of Onsite support specialist, providing technical diagnosis down to component level and making arrangements to supply on site engineers to repair units within a limited time-scale. A high standard of process and technical knowledge was required for this role as it dealt with corporate clients such as Microsoft, Oracle and Sage who demanded professionalism and efficiency at all times. I was fortunate to assist with training of fellow agents and wrote and clarified company operation through the production of the companies procedural documents. I was considered to be an authority on all aspects of the role.
