      As the digital marketing manager of Mercedes-Benz Hertfordshire, I constructed quarterly digital marketing campaigns to achieve new car sales, used car sales and aftersales targets. Working alongside the manufacturer’s regional marketing manager, I ensured that each quarterly campaign locally complimented their national campaign and adhered to their brand guidelines. Utilising suppliers to develop a new customer-centric group website design with the intention of increasing lead generation for new and used enquiries. Each quarter would consist of a content strategy, PR strategy, paid media strategy within Google Adwords and Bing Ads, boutique outreach strategy and email marketing strategy, all aligned with offline traditional marketing activities. Key focus was on analytical measurement, understanding which channels and in particular keywords were resulting in conversions/new and used car enquiries. This measurement allowed us to steer our SEO strategy, with focus on boutique outreach, content strategy and on-site optimisation around promotion of highly searched keywords traditionally with a localised transactional element, such as “used Mercedes for sale in Hertfordshire”. As a result, during my time at Mercedes-Benz Hertfordshire I managed to increase website traffic on a 30-day period from 6,500 to 31,000. This uplift in traffic inevitably led to not just meeting our lead generation targets, but exceeding them.

      As Group Marketing Manager of Quest Motor Group, I created and implemented quarterly online and offline marketing campaigns for Vauxhall, Citroen, Saab and Izuzu franchises as well as used cars and aftersales services. Quest Motor Group is one of the longest-serving independently owned GM franchises within the UK. A typical quarterly campaign would include newspapers, direct mailers, billboard advertisements, event marketing, new car livery, and new and used car events. These activities would also be reflected online with relevant content and offers present on our group website, alongside timely and targeted email marketing campaigns, measurable and targeted Google Adwords campaigns, content strategies and digital PR. Part of my role as group marketing manager was to maintain and build relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to deliver and achieve our set quarterly marketing targets. During my time at Quest Motor Group we consistently hit our new car, used car and aftersales targets with GM and Citreon. Alongside the directors of Quest Motor Group, I constructed and presented a marketing-lead presentation to the Citroen Managing Director, Marketing Director and Citreon board to secure confidence in winning the Citreon franchise for the Braintree, Essex and Maldon, Essex dealerships.
