As part of this role, I will be driving a Digital, Agile transformation across the Digital Hub and putting together a strategy around IT that will lay the foundations for the company to grow into the new ways of working and culture. My role involves working closely with the CIO to drive through change, to push good practices in Cloud/DevOps competencies, and enabling the culture to match it. Moving teams away from Projects to more Product orientated squads. Creating and developing the roadmap for migration to cloud platforms. Reducing costs and improving efficiencies in teams and external partnerships. Lead the Black Friday task force and dramatically improved the stability of the Digital Platform within 3 months to ensure zero downtime for the two biggest Digital sales peaks. Show less

Its been a long desire to build up a Company with a desire to engage with clients for DevOps and Digital transformations a little differently but here we are. Being the founder means I have to do everything but its such a great feeling to work with so many great people. IoTA Development Manager and Principle DevOps Lead

Jun 2016 - Sep 2017
I worked in the Internet Of Things Analytics Division where I was in charge of a number of delivery teams and reported to the VP of Engineering for the UK. I worked specifically on the Ingest Analytics solution which focused on the ingest of large data. Key parts of my job involved designed and creating infrastructure as code using Terraform and Ansible on AWS, OpenStack and baremetal SLES servers. The product migrated from Apache Mesos and Marathon to Kubernetes as the container orchestration platform. Developing the underling microservices in Go. Skills used: Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Teradata Databases, Go, ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana, AWS, Openstack, Mesos and Marathon. The projects I worked on gave me great insight into processing/ingesting vast quantities of data and how to get the best out of agile development processes. From a non-technical point of view I really enjoyed being able to be a servant-leader and manage both local and remote teams and offices. Show less
