  This role encompasses all aspects of outback tour guiding with a stronger focus on Hiking in remote regions throughout Australia.Leading up to 20 people, these smaller, more personal tours, have a strong focus on local flora and history, whilst taking the time to get up close and personal with the area.Cooking and preparing meals is common on most itineraries, and catering for all varying diets is becoming more and more prominent.As a senior guide i have also moved into a mentor/trainer role, taking on those new to the industry and helping them transition into the new role

  • Lead a Team of 5 staff, including daily planning or routes, operations and schedule• Operate a 6x6 Mercedes G-Wagon in all terrain conditions with up to 5 passengers• Day to day logistical planning to ensure a smooth-running tour with no issues.• Single point of contact for passengers needs and wants from major to minor issues • Provide 3 Meals a day for up to 24 passengers, catering for different dietary requirements• Provide correct and interesting information on Sights, History, Culture and Current Affairs• Assist with camplife, from tent erection, to cots and bedding, to toilets and shower prep• Live off the grid, completely isolated and remote for over 2 weeks at a time• Be the “go-to” person for all issues that may arise on the passengers tour• Fulfill various other roles that may be required on a day-to-day “as required” basis
