Upon completing my apprenticeship I was given the task of being lead operator for a 3 day NADCAP audit. The audit was passed successfully maintaining merit status for the company and department. With this role I have proven myself to be fully competent in all aspects of the department and with this have been granted with the provisional title of technical support engineer & Key Accounts ManagerWith this role I have been given numerous tasks. These tasks include:- leading all development during spray trials and application.- lead on all application development involving the SNECMA project.- office based projects such as raising internal paperwork, control of spreadsheets and data, interpretation and logging of vital data gained from spray trials and heavy involvement in implementation of specs & procedures. - dealing with customers on a daily basis regarding work load, deliveries, projects and possible defects. - non conformance paperwork. Involving all root cause analysis, preventative action and containment. - direct contact with SNECMA regarding spray trials, control plans, PFMEA, Work instructions, data logging, data interpretation & continuous improvement. - involvement in the latest NAPCAP audit. Starting as an apprentice at Poeton after gaining my A levels. Completed my NVQ level 2 in engineering and also completed IMF foundation & Technician in this time period. My apprenticeship was agreed to be a 3 year long programme in which I would learn all aspects of the thermal spray process including coating properties, grit blasting, SA plasma spraying, combustion wire & powder, robot manipulation and coating defects.Due to my passion to progress and my determination on completing my apprenticeship I was granted the privilege of completing my apprenticeship 7 months early based on my quality of work, knowledge and dedication to the company.
