  I independently developed and launched a daily mini-crossword puzzle game for iOS. The app is written entirely in Swift. Its custom puzzle generator is written in Kotlin and deployed on AWS Lambda. Admin web backend is in Ruby on Rails. The app, which launched in November 2018, has a small, but growing user base.   I led the Payments & International Team for most of my time at Kickstarter (I was focused on project discovery for the last year). The systems I built have processed over $1 billion dollars in pledges. Ruby / Rails / MySQL / Elasticsearch / Redshift / SOA. * Built our international payment, onboarding, and identity verification systems and launched Kickstarter in the UK (our first non-US country). I was then responsible for launching Kickstarter in CA, AU, NZ, IE, NL, SE, NO, and DK. * Rebuilt and unified our international and domestic payments systems. Migrated from Amazon in the US and CyberSource internationally, to Stripe for all countries. This no-downtime multiple-month migration included supporting 3 completely different payment and onboarding flows seamlessly and syncing millions of credit cards across providers. * Built our collaborative filter Recommendation Engine upon our Amazon Redshift datastore. * Migrated our freeform location data to a structured, hierarchical location data set that allows our users to search for projects up and down a hierarchy, e.g. U.S. -> New York -> NYC -> Brooklyn -> Greenpoint.
