My time at RxSydney although short gave me an immense insight into the buyer mindset, selling strategies through face to face marketing, communication strategies as well as reading tone and expression. The role enabled me to develop resilience and a new understanding of the Law of Averages, knowing every 'no' or 'I'm not interested' is one step closer to a 'yes'. Skillset can always be developed to reach goals more efficiently yet work ethic and a positive attitude is what will always get you there in the end.

As a food and beverage attendant at Fairmont Resort & Spa, I had the opportunity to work alongside other interns from across the globe. Working at a resort exposed me to all departments, giving me a chance to work in not only food and beverage but also conference and events and housekeeping. Much of my roles across departments included food and beverage service, food hygiene, suggestive selling, opening and closing procedures, cashier duties, maintanance of stations front/back of house, setting up and catering to various events including funerals, graduations, weddings, business conferences and Yulefest/Christmas services.

I juggled two jobs and full time University for a few months, however decided to resign to focus soley on my intership at Fairmont Resort & Spa, Blue Mountains whilst completing my final semester of my degree. Ensure KPI's were at above standard at all times, whilst running the team on days when the manager was off. My role also involved visual merchandisng, replenishing stock, opening/closing and calculating EOD/EOW statistics. Being a part of the Go Sushi team for over a year allowed me to build many skills such as handling food during production in the morning when rolling out all the Sushi, or during peaks of the day such as lunch. Recognition for being a quick learner also allowed me the privilege to train new employees, this was the aspect of my employment I probably enjoyed the most.
