Combat System Officer of the Watch: Provides a central site to coordinate and control operability testing and maintenance, to collect evaluate and disseminate combat system operational readiness information and to control and coordinate repair assets. Provide for coordination and management of administrative resources supporting combat system readiness, test and maintenance. Manages aloft safety program which includes 25 safety harnesses issued out to over 75 people ensuring safety for the entire ship. SPS-67(v) 5 technician performs preventative and corrective maintenance on primary surface search radar. Advanced technical knowledge on radars, video displays, NTDS circuitry, magnetrons, receiver/transmitters, waveguides, flow charts and schematics. AN/WSN-7 technician: Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on primary ship navigation system. Advance technical knowledge on gyros, accelerometers, inertial navigation units, global positioning, equipment interfaces, circuitry, power and reading schematics. Show less
