As an SGA at GameStop, I help manage the store whenever our store leader and senior leader assisstant cannot be there. I am considered a Key-holder, and my main job is guest care. I take care of any guest from the moment they enter up until they leave. I run the registers, keep the tasks up to date, and make sure the store is opened on time and is in the best condition possible for guest, including an open-floor plan where guest do not have to squeeze around product or other guests. If we cannot help the guest or do not have what they need in store, I make sure that all other options are explored, such as the Web-in-Store where we order it at the store register and have it shipped directly to the guest, or seeing if any of our nearby sister locations have what they need in stock. As the front desk supervisor, I'm the first person people talk to when they come to the tutoring center, AKA: CASA. I help them sign up for a tutor, check out a book, and help get them into the system when needed. If ever our main supervisor was out, the other tutors and professors come to me and give me the things they need to request, which either I may be able to provide right then or tell them I will have her contact them as soon as she returns. I keep most of the paperwork organized and proofread many of the task sheets that we go through. Show less

As a night shift supervisor, I tended to keep a schedule of things and make sure everything got done in a timely fashion. I assigned work to people on the checklist and made sure that they followed through with their jobs promptly, giving them a reprimand if it wasn't done by a certain time. We only had thirty minutes to clean the store after we close at 11PM so wasting time was no an option. They followed my lead when I also got done what I needed to do in less than thirty minutes at a time. When I was a server I made sure the customers were happy and enjoying their time. I also made sure the food was correct when it was brought out. When I was on the cash register I kept track of all the money exchanged as well as did the close out at night. I also kept to-go orders in line and made sure they were correct before the customer picked them up. In the kitchen I worked anything from the grill and fryers to battering the fish and chicken. I kept the work stations clear and made sure the food was done to code and was served to the customer in adequate time. Show less
