Dana is a wonderful communicator and as a consultant/coach to her Air Force Wing leads. They are always very impressed by her hard work ethic and ability to learn new tasks without hesitation. Not only is Dana a great team player but I have seen her teams rely on her to work autonomously and get the job done whenever necessary. Dana is always willing to help others without being asked by providing guidance and expertise, but also spending time doing research to determine what the real problem was through customer discovery, which is a great quality to have and recognize.

I was the POC for the 162d Wing for any and all visits, ceremonies, and events that took place at our wing. My job was to ensure that visitors are housed, fed, escorted and whatever else they might need during their visits. Everything from passport and personal information is recieved so there are no problems with base/IT access. Preparing the base and group commanders for visitors in advance and keeping them informed as to the itinerary and any changes. Making sure all involved are aware and respectful of foreign visitors and their cultural differences. Other tasks such as party planning, increased security, dietary requriements, media coverage, arranging entertainment on or off base. I have worked with dignitaries ranging from high ranking military officers to state and national representatives to military and civilian leaders from foreign countries. I have managed all ceremonies that occur throughout the wing. From promotion, retirement, change of command, change of responsibility, awards ceremony, yellow ribbon ceremony, state wide joint awards ceremony, renaming ceremony, retirement of a unit ceremony. Making sure that ceremonial ettiquette is acknowledged appropriately in each and every ceremony. From the right order of flags to who walks next to or behind in what order. Making sure the script is perfect up until the ceremony kicks off. Making sure to look over parties involved uniforms are in order and approriate. Planning base events such as dining-in, dining-out, joing state awards ceremony weekend. Events that take anywhere from six months to a year to plan. Offer advice on courtesies, and customs, flag ettiquette and seating plans to the function organizers or to attendees and participants. Arranging national anthem singers and honor guard. Show less
