  The American Legion's Missouri Boys State is a highly valuable and life-changing program for those that go through it, as it was for me when I attended in June 2013. Since then, I have become a key member of the Journalism and Broadcast TV branch of the distinguished staff of several hundred, instructing the young men of the program how to shoot and edit mock broadcast news stories and about the ethics of journalism. In addition to the full week of the annual session every June, I have also given many hours of my time to supplementary charity events put on by the program. My experience with the MBS staff has inspired me to continue learning and pushing my skills as a videographer and journalist. Show less

The company holds a very high standard for customer service as well as cleanliness, and tests these with regular visits from "secret shoppers" and frequent employee reviews. By the end of my time at the restaurant, I had succeeded in getting a high grade review and was awarded with a pay raise.
