Team Leader (Welcome & Induction), Student Guidance Centre
-
Aug 2015 - Dec 2015
Temporary position within the QUB Student Guidance Centre. I was employed to assist with the organisation of various welcome and induction events for all new QUB undergraduate students. Additionally, due to my previous experience creating video content, I also lead a team of students to create a new informational video for the SGC website. This video can be found on the QUB SGC homepage (https://www.qub.ac.uk/directorates/sgc/). NB - This video was updated in 2018 to reflect the new QUB brand identity, however, much of the original remains. Show less

Process Engineer
-
Aug 2013 - Aug 2014
As part of my MEng degree, I completed a 12 month placement as a Process Engineer in the metrology department at Seagate Springtown. I was part of a small team that managed several high throughput toolsets that performed thin film measurements using ellipsometry. Duties in this role included identifying and analysing the root cause of process variations using a variety of statistical process control techniques. Additionally, I developed, validated and implemented new film stack models for use in production. At Seagate, I frequently used a combination of JMP, SQL and R to retrieve, manipulate and analyse vast amounts of production data. Show less
