I am responsible for managing and caring for all of Woodbury's public locations (parks, well houses, trails, water towers, etc.) Here, every day work is anything but typical. For one hour, I could be string trimming trees, then the next I could be moving a trailer load of chairs and tables from one building to the next. This job has required me to always stay on my toes and be prepared to quickly transition to whichever task must be finished next. I also have been able to improve my teamwork skills through working with various partners, small teams, as well as being a small member in a large scale project such as the construction of the brand new soccer field house at Belienberg Sports Center. Finally, i learned a great deal of responsibility by being able to know the rules of soccer, with all of the new rules each year, and by re-certifying my skills before each fall season began. I learned a great deal about manual labor during my time with CBL. I learned that the day is not over, until the job is done. I was not just responsible for removing old carpet, we were also responsible for disposing of the carpet in the most efficient and environmentally sound way possible. After all of the carpet was removed, we would clean our workspace before the installation crew came to do their job. I learned a great deal about manual labor during my time with CBL.
