I’ve managed Dan directly for more than 6 years during my work in Mind CTI. As a product architect he worked on many different customers and projects, handling complex changes that involved cross-module design. He was also involved in performance tuning, sizing and investigation of several complex production problems, evaluation of new technologies, trainings and consultancy. In the past year, he acted as technical lead in a team responsible for building and redesigning a new module from scratch using new technologies and tools. Dan has a lot of experience with java related technologies and architecture, very knowledgeable, fast learner and more important a great team player.

Jun 2016 - Present
My responsibilities were the same as the product architect role described below. In addition to that I've worked for the past 1-2 years designing and developing a new product.I had the role of technical lead in an agile team and I was responsible with directing and helping the team with all the technology related issues and also with taking several technical decisions regarding the road map of the new application. The team was composed of 10-12 both QA & programmers and all of us were full stack developers doing both front-end, back-end and database programming. The development of the new product was done based on the previous version business logic but without keeping any of the old code. The technologies & design were completely new. We had strict requirements in terms of performance, mobile and responsive design and also business flows.Main technologies used: frontend: angularJS,css3, html5 / backend: spring boot with REST ws,jboss 10 with EJB3.1,oracle12 / database: jpa and plsqlThe team was also responsible of implementing a full continuous integration process by using maven, git, jenkins, jira/gitlab and related tools. Infrastructure Senior Java Programmer

Nov 2007 - Sep 2011
Starting with 2007 I've moved to the infrastructure & system group in the company. The system group in MIND is a special group dealing with all the infrastructure, system and architecture changes of the product. I was responsible of developing infrastructure base classes for j2se&j2ee applications, logging, security, jsf web controls, investigating new technologies.Moving from j2se and delphi and starting using the j2ee framework and all the related concepts was done by our group starting with 2007 and continuing in the present day.I was also involved in certifying new technologies, tools, frameworks and also new versions of java/j2ee as they appeared. We were also responsible of dealing with cross-modules issues & problems and also with all the performance related changes and fixes. All the modules in MIND that are part of the big product but are not related to a business logic flow (like several utilities, maintenance tasks, monitoring applications, snmp, generic module, caching, security ) were also under our responsibility. Java Programmer
-
Nov 2004 - Nov 2007
I've worked as a java programer on several separate modules composing the Mind product. I've started with the real time part, processing calls and CDR's and doing several parsers and then moved to the billing part of the system. Here I had to do several enhancements to the invoicing part (generation, rating, layouts) and also fixing issues in the old Delphi invoice module. The technologies I've used were mostly java (J2SE part v1.4 - v1.5 at that time) and also Delphi 6. The realtime call processing module required a deep understanding of multithreading concepts and also perfomance requirements. Any change there had to be very stable and also not to impact the required performance. The offline processing part was dealing with parsers and builders and the invoicing part was mostly business logic combined with concepts of rating, taxation and computations. In the invoicing module I had the chance to work & experiment with a new technology at that time that was XSL and XSLT processing. Now this concept is widely used in our invoice and receipts layouts but at that time it was a new concept. Show less

Description: Worked in the faculty robotics laboratory. I was responsible of helping students doing their lab projects and also developing and maintaining development boards based on PIC micro controllers. The laboratory had several working boards and also robotic kits that we had to maintain and also enhance both hardware and software. Learn how to program and develop various micro-controller applications and devices. Built an autonomous robot capable of following a drawn line and also communicating with another robot. This was an important achievement at that time, when autonomous robots, especially in Romania were not present yet (2003). Technologies & tools I've worked with: C/C++ language, PICC Compiler, MPLAB, ASSEMBLER, UNIX, PIC based micro-controllers PIC16F84,PIC16F876, etc Show less
