I recruited Dan to help with a very challenging project - putting together a program of content and social media strategy for G.I. Joe for the first-ever Hasbro convention - HASCON. I knew based on his scholarly research on G.I. Joe and success in self-publishing that Dan was a good partner to have. But I was wrong...Dan was a *great* choice and I could not have been more fortunate to bring him on board. Specifically, I have seen Dan's talents in action: -Leadership in recruiting and organizing a diverse group of creative folks to deliver hours of entertaining content -An attention to process, with schedules laid out against goals and regular check-in on progress -Ability to work under tight deadlines, with a passion and commitment to the task that is unrivaled -Creative solutions to problems (no surprise given Dan's creative output in his book series) -Social media strategies In short, it was a pleasure to work with Dan and I could not recommend him highly enough.

Dan Klingensmith is a hard-driving, totally organized and dynamic individual! He is bursting with energy and filled with creative ideas. One of these ideas is a series of books Dan has published about his hobby, collecting G.I. Joe toys. When book editors rejected Dan’s idea for publishing a book about the creators of the G.I. Joe toy line, Dan decided to research, write, edit, and design these books by himself. Each volume is a best-selling title that has earned Dan praise from the G.I. Joe toy collecting community for his exhaustive research and personal interviews with Hasbro toys and the creators of G.I. Joe. Dan uncovered hundreds of long lost design sketches, illustrations, engineering drawings and more to illustrate these books.
