I dealt with enquiries face-to-face, by phone and by email.I regularly liaised with teams from finance, accommodation and IT amongst others to ensure we provided the best service possible for students and staff at the University, as well as to external organisations. I took on a variety of tasks within the role. This included carrying out an office renovation project with my colleague within a six-week time frame in preparation for a visit from the University's Vice-Chancellor. We liaised with a number of teams across the University, as well as external suppliers in a complete overhaul of old office cabinets and equipment. The office is now space efficient and easy to navigate the various important documents we hold there.Additionally, I was responsible for delivering monthly SITS reports (SITS is the University database for students), whereby staff who have left in the last month have their access to SITS removed to maintain its security and confidentiality. My first eight months in the role took place under a Graduate Business Partnership (GBP) contract and in April 2016, I was promoted to the SID Advisor role on a fixed term contract.I had a number of responsibilities including:- Delivering exceptional customer service to students and staff - Listening, and offering advice to issues concerning finance, accommodation, IT and many other areas.- Communicating effectively, as well as liaising with members of staff from other teams in the University in order to resolve student/staff inquiries.- Treating each enquiry in a professional and confidential manner.- Working in a fast-paced, vibrant environment.- Teamwork is vital in order for us to provide an excellent service and to run as well as we do.
