Duties include; understanding customer needs to quote standard and custom products, work with customers to resolve questions or concerns, process sales orders by estimating labor hours and costs for accounting, daily meetings with engineering and marketing departments to brainstorm marketing ideas, profit loss cost analysis, monthly sales of in excess of $30K - $400K with multiple customers and multiple standard and custom units, repeat customer product sales. Estimator is responsible for generating cost and sale pricing on non-standard and "Heavy Duty" ovens. Acts as a liaison between suppliers and engineers to ensure product design and quality. Worked in teams to create definitions of new standard product lines, develop processes, and trouble shoot issues. Member of a team that created part numbers and descriptions for ERM software (Made to Manage). Placed on steering committee during Epicor Vantage (ERP Software) implementation. Planned and led Epicor Vantage training session for the Engineering Department Independently created "Quote Info Form" which automatically populates design criteria and generates a Quote document which is sent to the customer. Program is currently in process to be used in estimating automatic pricing and as a configuration tool for sales and engineers to use. Programs have been created for the ovens and shelter divisions. Revamped and streamlined the active Production Schedule which is used by engineering, purchasing, and the production departments.
