I can always depend on Dan, period. Though his his current level of knowledge makes him far more than sufficient to take care of anything I could need from a DBA, he never remains content with that level of knowledge. Armed with automation, agility, and a keen eye for details, Dan is ready and willing to solve next-level problems. Aside from his professional merits, he's a nice, positive guy to be around. Thank you, Dan, for being a solid teammate.

Dan and I have worked together in two positions; one at Glenn County Office Of Education and again at CSU Sacramento. Dan worked for me as a desktop support technician over a wide geographic area while in college. Dan was excellent at customer service and was very helpful deploying large numbers of computers purchased in bulk. As the contract completed, I recommended Dan to Sungard Bi-Tech. Eventually I had a position with CSU Sacramento for a SQL Server and asked Dan to join me. Dan excels with teamwork and customer service. Dan was the sole SQL Server DBA for the campus and managed many small and mid-sized databases for use across the campus through several centralized single node multi-tennant database servers. Dan also managed a mirrored 2 node Sharepoint enterprise SQL Server system. Dan's systems rarely had production issues. Dan was constantly working to improve the systems. Dan was also responsible for coordinating with security to ensure all campus security standards were addressed. Dan also has done a great job networking across the SQL Server industry and is on the board of the local Sacramento SQL Server User group. He spends alot of time learning and developing his considerable SQL Server skills. Dan's strengths are in his customer service skills, ability to maintain his technical skills and teamwork.

I was part of the governing board for the Sacramento SQL Server user group since September 2009, helping to revive the group after its inception at the beginning of 2009. As a team, we brought the first annual SQL Saturday to Sacramento in 2012 with me as the project leader. Our group continued to grow as our focus was on relationships in addition to the technical aspects. * Project leader for SQL Saturday Sacramento 2012 and 2013 * Responsible for handling the group’s finances * Presented various topics to the group as well as at SQL Saturday Sacramento 2013, 2014 and 2015 * Focused on maintaining positive relationships in the group * Contributor to SQLServerCentral.com Show less
