Dan is an experienced cross cultural coach and trainer, delivering training in both the private and public sectors. He has worked with training providers such as Cartus, TMA World, BGRS, Learnlight and Farnham Castle to deliver coaching and training for a wide range of companies including HSBC, Sony, Ford, Jaguar Land Rover, Kellogg’s and Pepsico. Dan specialises in preparing people for international assignments in the UK and the Middle East, but has also helped people to transition to a host of other countries and to work effectively in multicultural teams. His interactive sessions are designed to enable assignees to adjust to their new environment as quickly and as effectively as possible, and with over 20 years’ experience of living in India, Lebanon and Jordan, he has a wealth of cross-cultural experience to draw on. Dan holds two Masters Degrees - in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham, and in Intercultural Communication from the University of the West of England. He worked for 8 years with the British Council in Lebanon and Jordan, and during that time also learned to speak Arabic. As well as teaching general English classes at the Council, Dan also delivered intercultural training for teachers with the Connecting Classrooms program (UK – Jordan exchange). He delivered two Insett sessions on Cross-Cultural Understanding to teachers, local staff and the Country Director (June 2012) and coordinated the innovative Youth Work Jordan project. In addition, Dan delivered soft skills workshops on Presentation Skills, Time Management, Teambuilding, Communication Skills & Business Writing, for clients including HSBC Bank and the United Nations.
