I worked directly with Dan at Vexxel Composites and Luxfer Gas Cylinders. Dan was in charge of our facilities and equipment. He did a superb job. Our facility and equipment up-time was >98% over the years. Dan designed and built several pieces of equipment used in the manufacture and testing of high pressure composite vessels. Since our industry is relatively small, there aren't many equipment suppliers. The few suppliers there are are expensive and have long procurement leadtimes. The equipment Dan designed and built was computer-controlled highly technical and highly precise equipment. Dan's ability to design and fabricate this equipment saved us tens of thousands of dollars in procurement costs, valuable time by getting the equipment on-line expeditiously, and improved production efficiency. Prior to working for Vexxel/Luxfer Dan was a manufacturing engineer. We used this experience by assigning him to production/manufacturing teams. Dan provided valuable input and guidance insofar as process improvements. His experience also provided stability to the teams. Furthermore, Dan's interface with the technicians allowed him to collect information on the facility and equipment from the users. He used this information to make improvements. I would recommend Dan as a production engineer, maintenance engineer, facilities engineer, equipment engineer or manufacturing engineer. Dan has a broad experience base and is highly skilled in these functions. Dan's experience and know-how will bring a great deal of technical skill and experience to your organization.

Designed and implemented equipment and tooling solutions to manufacture high-pressure composite cylinders for containment of compressed natural gas (CNG) at the Luxfer Utah location. We created some great new things at our facility which provided tight tolerances and operator friendly interfaces with short lead times at controlled costs. I started as Production Labor while I finished my degree, then worked as a Manufacturing Engineer and Production Manager. Primary responsibility usually was to create the appropriate production capability to meet customer needs. Several new and unique production capabilities developed. Duties included occasional direct contact with customers for product design tuning: though, normally working though a sales representative. Good working relationships formed with production personnel as I learned to listen to these great individuals. Show less
