Part of the development team of a trade capture system used by members of the front office and middle office to handle interest-rate derivatives. The purpose of the application is to book and manage vanilla and exotic trades. As a software development engineer, I design and develop new features, enhance existing features and maintain the project while designing unit tests or integration tests. I conduct deployments and also manage deployment configurations. I provide support for users and document all changes. - The back-end is based on Java 7 & 8 with J2EE and Spring (Core, MVC, Boot), JDBC & JPA (Hibernate), Maven, Jetty & Jax-RS with XML & JSON. - The persistence layer is using an Oracle SQL database and Oracle Coherence as cache for quick data access. - The front-end side is built with JQuery and Bootstrap. - Git for VCS, Bitbucket, JIRA for issue tracking & Teamcity for build management. - The development process follows the Agile/Scrum methodology. - Unit tests are done with JUnit, Mockito and Powermock, while integration tests are done with Cucumber & Groovy. - Deployment on cloud environment and Solaris & SLES - Other tools: IntelliJ IDEA, Oracle SQL Developer Show less
