During his month-long internship with the PR team at JBP PR & Parliamentary Affairs, Dan showed himself to be a knowledgeable, hardworking and dependable member of the team. Dan showed a natural flare for creativity and undertook the day-to-day tasks of a PR executive diligently; liaising with clients; providing media monitoring; undertaking research for press releases, presentations and campaigns; and drafting releases for the media. His insights into marketing also proved useful, and he was quick to learn the common tasks undertaken by PR execs on a daily basis. I would highly recommend Dan to any employer.

I founded Ocean View Marketing to help local businesses build sustainable marketing strategies and identify opportunities that may lie out of sight. You can read about the philosophy that underpins our work here: https://bit.ly/2KJLvRU. Using a network of reliable partners we can offer full service marketing for any business. I currently manage and am growing a small portfolio of clients ranging across various industry sectors, whilst also looking to build on our partnerships network. Years of marketing experience allows me to identify opportunities that others may not see, whilst being able to communicate them in to an effective strategy.

This a more commercially focused role aimed at selling group tickets and generating new business for the football club. My time is balanced between marketing the first team, organising the club's junior membership scheme and networking with local businesses and schools to provide ticketing opportunities across the county.

In January 2016 I took on the role of Marketing Development Representative at Concur. My duties included working alongside sales staff to target and contact new, mid-market sized, British and Irish clients for the business. I was responsible for the expansion into the Irish mid-market space, our newest emerging market. The experience of working with an emerging, international market space has taught me many skills such as adapting to cultural differences, and dealing with a growing, undeveloped database. Concur imagines the way the world should work, offering cloud-based business services that make it simple to manage travel and expenses. By connecting data, applications and people, Concur services do the hard work, delivering an effortless experience for organizations and their employees, while providing total transparency into what they’re spending. This integrated approach goes beyond automating processes and transactions to managing spend wherever and whenever it happens—so companies can focus on what matters most. The Concur solution is the only way you can manage spending wherever and whenever it happens. Our travel, expense and invoice management services work with enterprise resource planning (ERP), human resources and accounting systems to consolidate data and create a single, connected process for managing your organization’s spend. Our open platform supports an ecosystem of partner applications and services that use Concur data to help your organization manage compliance, risk, spend and the traveler experience. The result is a connected approach that creates an effortless user experience and provides complete transparency into spend.

This was a start up business I was involved in whilst at University. Being passionate about fan engagement within the football industry, I was invited by the director to help build an organisation offering football clubs around the UK affordable consultancy to improve the fan experience at their respective clubs. Whilst working on FanData I took up a general manager role, working alongside the director on all aspects of the business. FanData offered: Detailed research and reports on fan demographics A review of current projects An assessment of fan satisfaction advice/consultation on improvements that could be made Assistance with implementation A pricing structure designed to minimise risk, and based on a results based model The company got very close to securing a number of Football League and Non-League clubs, however due to financial constraints the company had to dissolve shortly after its inception. The experience gained from this short time was vast, and the pressure of trying to build a business from scratch at such a young age set me in good stead moving forward. The philosophy of improving the fan experience within sport is still something I feel very passionately about.
