      Proactive patrols of 130 acres and 27 buildings on and adjacent to the campus. First responder to all emergency’s on campus. Work daily with Fire, Paramedics and Police for resolution. Emergencies such as fires, fire alarms, fire safety hazards, vehicle accidents, medical emergencies of all kinds, larcenies, domestic disputes, enforcing restraining orders, enforcing wrongful use of alcohol and illegal narcotics, physical altercations, suicides and/or life threatening situations. Conducted consent based searches, held surveillance operations, conducted investigations and write detailed reports on the facts given with each circumstance. Conduct safety inspections on department equipment, campus fire extinguishers, emergency phone systems, elevators and handicapped access points. Provide escorts on request, unlock service for motor vehicles, battery jumpstart assistance and minor requests for vehicle assistance. Monitor and provide access control for the college campus and community. During my 14 years as a Security Officer, on two separate occasions I was asked by the Vice President of Administrative Services to serve as Interim Director of Safety and Security until the position could be permanently filled. Duties were to supervise 12 Security Officers, 1 Parking Checker, 3 Dispatchers, 3 Student Aids and 1 Information Specialist. I was also responsible for the department budget, monthly expenditure reports, scheduling all department employees while maintaining permitted contracted hours. Attended and participated in Planning and Campus Administrative meetings, conducted safety presentations, planned and scheduled major campus events, held parking violation hearings, investigated all complaints against students, staff and faculty. •AED, First Aid, CPR certified. •OC, Handcuff and Fire Extinguisher trained and certified by Vancouver Police and Fire. •Completed an 80 hour campus security course as given by the Western Association of campus Law Enforcement Agencies.
