Throughout my time at CRS I’ve progressed through multiple departments to gain a holistic view of the PPI claims process. Part of the reason why I was able to work in three different departments within five months was my willingness to work 50-60-hour weeks shortly after being hired. This allowed me to help with the increasing workload in multiple departments and assist in the change to a new processing method. My ability to work both the day and evening shifts meant I could share information across departments and train others to be multi-disciplined to help with the shifting workload in different teams. Once I started my masters I went back to my contracted 20 hours a week to balance the workload between university and CRS. In terms of my current responsibilities I use an in-house Microsoft Access database to process PPI information responses from banks and send out the relevant correspondence to customer’s in order to progress their files to the next stage.
