Tremendous Wheel Refinishing

Small Business Owner
-
Sep 2016 - Present
Tremendous Wheel Refinishing is my “side hustle” business that I started as a result of my capstone entrepreneurship course challenging me with the task of experiencing the journey of entrepreneurship. While it started as a skill I learned to work on my own wheels, it quickly spiraled into a successful side venture for myself that proved to be quite profitable. I still operate it to this day, though I only take on referral clients and jobs of my choice since my free time is much more limited now that I am working full time. Other highlights include: • Experience pressure of procuring all clients alone • Interpret, evaluate and influence clients’ needs • Overcome obstacles and objections in sales process • Close sales over phone, online and in person • Generated over $15,000 in revenue in first year almost exclusively from referrals from happy clients Show less

May 2019 - Jul 2019
Trying a different industry on for size, my role in this tech startup was to help small & medium business owners across Canada and the USA understand TapMango's value proposition as it applied to their individual business. Through taking a true consultative approach to selling, I was able to help these business owners generate more revenue, gain new customers and maintain high levels of loyalty from their existing customers. While the monotony of making hundreds of cold calls per week (500+) was not for me, I enjoyed the experience and challenges that came along with chasing success in a different industry and with learning new skills specific to this role. Gloria's Restaurant

-
Server
-
Aug 2012 - Aug 2017
This was my first job. Eager to earn money to fund my passion for cars and photography, I started at just 15 years old. I worked here during high school and during my first two Summers in University, before taking on a position in my field at the start of the Summer of my third year. Gloria's Restaurant is a family owned and operated staple in my home town of Sudbury, Ontario for over 60 years. It is known and loved by locals for home cooked meals, fresh breakfast and friendly service. I'll never forget what a positive and rewarding experience working with everyone here was. My years at Gloria's showed me the irreplaceable value of having a strong, tight-knit team that I to this day still call family. This job also provided me with a wonderful opportunity to learn customer service and sales skills at a very early age. I accredit much of my confidence and competence in dealing with the public to my experience here. Show less

Freelance Photographer/Videographer
-
Dec 2011 - Jul 2015
I started with photography and videography as a hobby in 2011. Over the years, I've had the opportunity to use my skills professionally in various industries and niches. While I have the most experience with automotive photography, I've also dabbled in product photography, head shots, family portraiture, real estate, landscape shooting and more. I've produced promotional marketing videos for St. Benedict CSS Secondary, Your Sudburylicious Food Festival, Boardwalk Gaming and Arcol Cleaning & Maintenance. I'm comfortable with Adobe Lightroom & Photoshop, and have also started learning to work with Illustrator. My work has been shared by BMW Canada, Sabelt America, VisitBarbados.com, UltimateKlasse.com and more. Show less
