Matthew McDonnell

I worked with Damla during her time contracting for Grimshaw in London during 2019 and 2020. Damla worked as a Senior Architect, reporting to me, as part of a team I lead on two key projects between May 2019 until March 2020. In my experience, Damla is a highly organised and skilled architect who brings an exceptional eye for detail while balancing humour and a smile, making her a joy to work alongside. In a complex project aviation project we worked on together, Damla was an essential part of the team often preempting what was required before the client or other stakeholders asked for it. She was primarily responsible for structuring the workload of the team and coordinating multiple junior or graduate architects (a team of 4-6) to ensure all deliverables were submitted on time, exceeding the quality expectations of the client. I have no reservation in recommending Damla, whom I trust will do well in wherever her future takes her. I hope to work with her again.
