Responsibilities include;Responsible for providing process and procedural documentation and advice within thewider Development Control context.Responsible for up to ten staff and the project management of approximately 200Section Agreement schemes across half of Hertfordshire. The workload continues togrow as we accept increasing client responsibility from the County Council due to theirstaffing crisis. Time, budget and fee management in excess of £250,000.Published a "Road Map" of the Development Control Process charting the involvementand responsibilities of the various parties concerned. Providing advice at a strategiclevel with a view to the Development Control process within Hertfordshire beingoverhauled.Liaison with the County Secretary's Department setting up the agreements between theCounty and Developers to undertake works that will become maintainable at the publicexpense.In 2002 there was two development control staff. By the end of 2003 a team of 35 hadbeen successfully employed and specialist planning expertise was recruited to managethe Planning team due to their size and profile within the Council.
