I was able to negotiate a commercial agreement to co-brand with KingGee Australia which guaranteed cash flow and ensured that the ongoing R&D would be funded by KingGee. This led to a new CSIRO filter technology that was also patented and has global potential. Partnered with New Zealand based Lanaco for the evolution of this IP. I modernised the financial and accounting systems of the business to provide a robust basis for prudent business and management decisions. I re-negotiated debt instruments to ensure the continuing viability of the businesses and during adverse economic and market conditions. I also conducted the negotiations and oversaw the expansion of the shopping centre from 12 to 20 outlets, including a 2,200 sqm Coles supermarket. I was able to return a loss-making business to profitability following a comprehensive overhaul of its accounting, financial management, payables, receivables, cost management and budgeting processes and practices.
