Leading the Bernie & Berniece Boys & Girls Club at Hiatt Middle School gave me experience to develop my passion for inspiring others to succeed. During the school day I worked as a liaison to Hiatt administrators and teachers. The staff I lead helped gave students a safe atmosphere to be able to express themselves by providing extra support they need to reach their full potential. I enjoyed developing & implementing afterschool programs and activities with a focus on life-skills, and academic success that will help youth as they mature throughout their teenage years. Show less

I helped young men from various social and economic backgrounds achieve their full potential. I mentored members on the team, monitored their path to graduation, and helped students manage their course load in order achieve enough credits to transfer to a four-year institution. I devoted my life to help prepare young men for life after football by cultivating a positive training environment that encourages team building, accountability, discipline, and hard work.
