  From the day we launched our campaign, we have had our eyes set on only one goal—defeating Ilhan Omar and providing the representation in Congress that this community deserves. I am proud of the progress our campaign has made in the past months and confidant that our efforts would have led us to victory in less tumultuous times. However, in light of the recent turmoil in Minneapolis and the continued fight against COVID-19, I have decided that I can make a bigger impact by exiting this race. To get through these difficult and painful times, our community and country must unite.
