As a Recruiter for High School Drop-outs in the 5-County area that NEMCC serves, I bring students in and give a Pre-Test to check current skill level. This test will determine whether or not the student will need ABE/GED classes or if they are actually ready to take the actual GED exam in the 4 subject areas. I work closely with all of the Adult Ed instructors (to help place them in a Career Pathway), keep up with every student's progress in the program, enter data from test results, keep all data recorded in ACCESS/EXCEL files, and give the GED tests every week at NE and at "off-campus" sites...day and night. Very rewarding job for I get to work with people from every walk of life and background and help them attain their High School Credential...then counsel them into pursuing higher education or going into a Career Pathway program that we offer.
