Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina Area I've worked on breadth of tech at TransLoc. The backend architecture is microservice based (predominantly Python and Go services) and that keeps things interesting. I've gotten a chance to build out some new services like 'notify' - a service to facilitate sending sms/push notifications via Twilio. I've worked on a variety of administrative reporting functionality - turns out transit data is actually pretty cool! The frontend is react-redux based and its been fun further developing those skills. I'm currently working on building out an external facing API for clients to use. At TransLoc I've gotten a chance to work with some awesome technology, including dynamic vehicle scheduling algorithms for microtransit services. Think the travelling salesman problem, just with a few more variables. I've also gotten to carry out some updates to the core authentication systems, preparing for a better - hopefully more secure :) - future. Working on technology that helps people move in the "real world" has been immensely satisfying.

Worked on a migration of over 30k music releases and 180k audio tracks between distribution partners by automating XML transmission processes. Constructed an email messaging feature in a React Native mobile application. Managed updates & deployment of a dockerized Angular 2 app. Transitioned overly complex backend Ruby code towards frontend agnostic RESTful apis.
