  My current individual research project ‘The Creature of Water Walking on Land’perceives water as a medium inside and outside a creature’s body, prompting an ethicalturn by mimicking the body movement of the animal. By embracing the non-anthropomorphic animal and the alienation of technology, it is possible to raise ourawareness of animal extinction prevention, and draw attention to current ecologicalcrises. In this research, I imitate a mallard to explore trans-species intimacies. To explorewhat it means to become a mallard within a context of ecological crisis, this interspeciesperformance draws on the history of feminist performance art, and specifically onecofeminism, ‘Humanimal’ body art, and water. This research explores theinterconnection between human and animal, and arouses the awareness of caring for ournature and other species by using the human body as a bio-cosmic nourishment.
