  IDEA is the world's largest provider of debate education. An umbrella organisation which supports young people in 20+ countries to think critically, become active citizens, and be empowered in their educational and professional opportunities. I am responsible for the application, administration, execution, rapporting and evaluation of international and national programmes at a non-formal education NGO. I run the day-to-day back office in Utrecht and assist with financial management, CRM, evaluation, auditing of programmes and writing of the annual report. Programmes include: - Empowering Youth To Debate Across Europe, an educator development programme for educators in 7 countries in the non-formal sector funded by Erasmus+. - Creating Critical Minds and Voices, an international exchange programme operating in 17 countries which teaches high school students 21st-century skills, funded by Europe for Citizens. - IDEA Debate Exchange, an international skills exchange for individuals working in the non-formal education and collegiate education sectors, funded by Erasmus+. For this programme I regularly give workshops at high school, vocational, and professional level. Evaluations of these workshops rank my sessions in between 8/10 and 9.7/10. Show less

  Open Up! uses dialogue and debate education to help empower young people, connect them to their community and society, and let them drive the change they wish to see from/with community stakeholders and (local) authorities.   Led a turbulent campaign in corona times, using a mixture of volunteer engagement pioneering digital and physical efforts, and maintaining a strong social presence. Whilst the party recorded a historic defeat including in Nijmegen, the vote share in the municipality was the highest in the country for the Greens.   I gave trainings and one-on-one coaching sessions to improve public speaking abilities and implement communication advice and strategies. Past contractors have included Nuvema, Erasmus University, Radboud University, youth political organisations including Jonge Democraten, and various high schools. I have done contract work for organisations including Debatrix and Nationale JeugdRaad. I have also coached participants for TEDx Rotterdam sessions.
