-Leading the design, manufacturing, and assembly of a 500V, 7.2kWh battery pack for a small scaled formula race car. This includes the thermal management, structural, and high voltage design.-Modeled and designed a forced convection cooling system using a 2D thermal resistance network in ANSYS to eliminate thermal attenuation-Routed the high voltage architecture by optimizing busbars for efficiency & costs, and specifying wires, fuses, and quick disconnects-Designed an aluminum welded pack, and subpack modules to reduce manufacturing and assembly time, while increasing serviceability and reliability over previous vehicle-Tested cylindrical cells using a hybrid pulse power characterization profile to develop a ECM in ANSYS-Lead the design of low voltage enclosures to efficiently route the LV architecture for improved serviceability and accessibility to safety and communication systems-Integrated and designed critical o-ring seals to prevent liquid ingress-Presented critical design reviews to team members and alumni to evaluate and improve designs
