I worked with the Nuclear and Hadron Physics Group. The project aimed at implementing a machine-learning algorithm for fast detector simulation with ROOT and Python. The algorithm was modified to be able to reproduce the kinematic variables of a B0 decay from LHCb data. The data was successfully reproduced and compared with the original set. The project was supervised by Dr. Derek Glazier and Dr. Mark Whitehead. I worked with the Nuclear and Hadron Physics Group. I worked with the Nuclear and Hadron Physics Group. The project aimed at implementing a three-pion decay through the PyPWA software (Partial Wave Analysis) in Python, using the isobar formalism. This served as a starting point to study more general multi-particle final states produced by polarized photons. Supervised by Dr. Peter Pauli and Dr. Derek Glazier. I worked alongside the technical team on multiple projects using CAD software such as Fusion360 and SolidWorks. I implemented a code to control a stepper motor and regulate the opening of a hydraulic manifold. The results were presented. Assisted the CEO in the managerial aspects of the company, familiarising myself with a non-academic environment.
