I led the Division for Hospital Medicine for pediatrics for MCAM and Baptist Hospitals in North Mississippi (Oxford) and Jackson MS. I was drawn to the community and need for multidisciplinary patient care for newborns and children through late adolescence. We provided comprehensive care from the first hours of life through adolescence and with the goal of improving health and encouraging families to thrive in our area and beyond!

I served as the clinical lead on our first-in-human studies of NL201, a potent IL2 and IL15 agonist for patients with solid tumors. I worked cross-functionally with colleagues in regulatory, operations, quality, safety, biometrics, pre-clinical, legal and other team members in the US and internationally to safely and efficiently conduct the study in conjunction with our site PIs. I also worked with the basic research team to refine studies of biological correlates to demonstrate mechanism of… Show more I served as the clinical lead on our first-in-human studies of NL201, a potent IL2 and IL15 agonist for patients with solid tumors. I was a member of the team to develop and conduct first in human clinical trials of targeted agents (Cdk7 inhibitor and an antibody drug conjugate against tissue factor) for the treatment of patients with cancer. I participated in protocol development, IB revisions, site selection, managed site relationships with institutional investigators and contributed to the medical, safety, data analysis, regulatory filings and developmental life cycle of these assets. I established an integrated interdisciplinary neuro-oncology clinic to provide creative and innovative care for children battling tumors of the nervous system. I also directed a translational molecular neurobiology laboratory that sought to understand the role that Sonic hedgehog pathway played in normal and neoplastic proliferation of cells in the brain. I mentored graduate students, fellows and undergraduates in basic and translational laboratory projects.
