  I provide executive-level leadership with full accountability for educating and counseling 6,500+ graduate students about financial aid packages. My responsibilities include reviewing and adjusting financial aid-including institutional aid- in alignment with federal, state, and university rules and regulations that govern graduate and undergraduate students. In addition to my fiduciary duties, I train, mentor, and manage professional staff. My contributions since assuming this role include: • Administering financial awards including graduate awards, federal aid and private loans to approximately 6,500 domestic and international students each year. • Collaborating with outside vendors to develop the financial aid for graduate online-only programs and updated process for awarding on-campus graduate financial aid. • Coordinating and executing a project that improved and enhanced student access to financial aid online within the student portal; oversaw transfer of data from one online form to another from a different vendor with separate access for students based on enrollment type (academic year, summer session, online). • Creating a new position which required that I develop SOPs and provide training and mentoring for a new financial aid counselor position that ovetsees the university's new online-only graduate programs.   I was promoted from Financial Aid Coordinator to this role, in which I advised and worked with students and families seeking graduate financial aid and provided in-depth education on availability, application processes, and awarding. I also increased graduate and undergraduate students' financial literacy by giving them information on loan repayment and teaching budgeting personal finances, and financial investments. To ensure compliance with federal and state regulations and ensure that students receiving aid and maintained satisfactory academic progress, I regularly reviewed and evaluated financial aid processes. Some of my other contributions included: • Controlling an annual $30K in special funding used to meet the university's obligation to UTC and Chase employees enrolled in graduate programs. • Training and mentoring counselors and financial aid assistants to ensure they could conduct accurate, efficient graduate aid processes for all applicants. • Managing federal funding for Federal Work Study and Federal Perkins Loans for graduate students.
