The Australian Network on Disability (AND) is a not-for-profit organisation resourced by its members to advance the inclusion of people with disability in all aspects of business. We help our members and clients to welcome people with disability as employees, customers and suppliers. Our highly skilled disability consultants come from a wide variety of professional backgrounds, meaning we will always provide you with the consultant with the most relevant skills and experience for your organisation's specific situation. We are not an employment agency, and do not find jobs for people with disability. Rather, we work with our member organisations so that they become more confident and prepared to welcome people with disability into their organisations.

I worked with the WA branch of the former Australian Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations (DEEWR) and was placed in the Early Childhood, Youth and Transitions Branch to work on a Closing the Gap data project. I produced a Snapshot of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Early Childhood Education and Care in WA (2012-13) and presented the findings to the WA State Manager and staff. I was valued as a member of the team and was encouraged to push beyond my limits in public speaking. The work at DEEWR is rewarding, important and interesting. Working on the project helped me develop research and writing skills. Moreover, everyone was willing to assist me and this support really helped me to excel.
