Oversee and direct all clinical programs for Merced County. There are Adult, Children and Youth outpatient care services; The Marie Green Psychiatric inpatient services; Outpatient Crisis Stabilization Unit; Outpatient Wellness center for Adults and The Cube for Adolescents; Prevention services; Intake and assessment program; Alcohol and Drug (AOD) programs along with drug court programs for Adults, and Youth; AB 109 Probation/ Mental Health/AOD collaborative program; Aid and assist with the Mental Health Services Act planning and support services programs; Quality Improvement and Assurance for all Mental Health programs and services; School based programs and other duties as assigned, including coverage for administration when the Director is out of the office. Program development and oversight is another part of my responsibility to ensure programs function within the realm of the regulations set by State and Federal government as well as grant regulations. Staffing responsibilities along with disciplinary responsibilities when required are also part of my ongoing supervision. Coordination with the remainder of the agency to address Co-Occurring disorder issues as well as collaborative efforts with other County Agencies that utilize funding from Mental Health Services Act and Medi-Cal who work together with our Department (Inc. Law Enforcement, Probation, Public Health, HSA, Courts, DA and Public Defender, Conservators office Narcotic Treatment Facilities, FQHCs as well as other community based agencies)

Chief Clinician/Senior Manager Over Substance Abuse Services

Oversee and direct Substance Abuse Service (SAS) programs for San Joaquin County. There are two residential care services; an outpatient care service; Prevention services; Intake and assessment program; four drug court programs (Felony, Dependency, SACPA/Prop36, Drug Court II); Children’s and Youth program; and a Court Monitoring program. I oversee the budgetary responsibilities of a 9 to 12 million dollar budget, directing the management staff from each program along with the Program Coordinator the importance of fiscal responsibility. There is 89 staff that I ultimately am responsible for as manager/supervisor. Program development and oversight to ensure programs function within the realm of the regulations set by State and Federal government as well as grant regulations. Staffing responsibilities along with disciplinary responsibilities when required are also part of my ongoing supervision. Quality Management and Improvement Coordinator Oversee and direct Quality Improvement (QI) projects; chart reviews; site certification for Medi-Cal; State and Federal reviews; responsible for policy and procedure development; regulatory change implementation; review for best practices; staff development; program budget oversight; monitoring of the grievance resolution process; as well as other duties as assigned.

Prepares academic instruction and discussion media focusing on current topics of relevance, such as sociological analysis of family deviance. • Participated in planning and instruction of master’s level courses in marriage family counseling at the Modesto and Lathrup campuses.
