Culin worked with my company as part of our summer internship program while he was completing his Masters degree. Culin displayed extraordinary talent, leadership skills and a work ethic that was far above and beyond an architectural candidate his age. He quickly became an invaluable partner to me in my work. My projects are primarily within the hospitality sector at DLR Group Chicago’s office, and Culin was an integral part to the hospitality team. He not only helped me work through critical design questions, but also helped produce a clean, coordinated set of construction documents. His willingness to learn, capacity to take on a multitude of tasks, and determination to produce high quality work are qualifications to admire. He works well with others, has a great attitude and is an asset to any team! Once you meet Culin, his desire to succeed in this industry, natural leadership ability and determination to meet his professional goals is readily apparent. It was a pleasure to work with him side by side.

I have had the pleasure of working with Culin several times while he pursued both a Master of Architecture and a Master of Urban Planning at the University of Kansas. I am always impressed with his drive, initiative, and the seriousness with which he approaches his studies. He is always eager to step into roles of leadership and approaches design challenges with rigor and critical thought. I advised Culin on the 2016 HUD Affordable Housing Student Design and Planning Competition effort. His team’s project was named one of the national finalists and Culin was invited to HUD headquarters in Washington, D.C. to present his research. I am very happy to serve as a reference for him.
