LO Yan was reporting under me as a Graduate Trainee for the past 12 months since August 2019. She joined the project as a fresher and gradually she has gained significant exposure to Insurance Industry. She has shown immense maturity and has picked up things very quickly in the project. EPOS (Point of Sales Application) is a challenging project and she has shown great flexibility to meet the delivery on time. The number of issues reported by her both functional and requirement is significantly high which demonstrates her quality awareness. In a very short span of time, she has become an integral part of the testing team and winning her appreciation from both management and customer due to her hard work and skills demonstrated in the project. During the tenure, she had demonstrated excellent analytical skills and had gained good knowledge of the Point of Sales application which was in scope of testing. She has good working knowledge of Point of Sales to New Business Process along with underwriting process. She is well acquainted with knowledge on various types of Insurance products and their underlying business rules. She was involved in verification of Illustration Documents, UI/UX validation of application and verification of underwriting rules etc during policy creation process. Apart from this, she has demonstrated good communication skills during stakeholder interaction. She has also participated in Agile ceremonies like Daily Standup, Defect Triage Call, Sprint Review and Retrospective and is aware of the Agile Methodology. As a part of her current assignment, she was actively involved in requirement gathering and analysis and has shown good qualities as a business analyst.

Crystal joined my team as a Quality Engineer, supporting the new business transformation of a Canadian Life Insurer. Considering this is her first assignment in insurance domain, she was quick to pick up the business knowledge required of her role. She is very detail oriented and approaches every problem in a structured manner. Her hard work and hunger to learn has earner her positive feedback from multiple stakeholders. She is an asset to any team and is quite capable of filling bigger shoes in future.
