Cristina Villa is wonderful to work with and has exceptional leadership, teamwork, people skills, and hard work. Proactive, ambitious, committed, and broad-minded perfectionist. Cristina Villa leads by example and many people at Create Cures Foundation find her enthusiasm and dedication both inspiring and motivating. Result-driven experienced, and efficient team player. Deliver results and move on. That's Cristina Villa's way. Through the years, we worked on various projects and I was impressed by her manner of doing a great job!

To whom it may concerne. I have been working with Cristina in the same foundation for 4 years now, where she is our Program Director. I have been always impressed by how she can develop an entire social program starting from an idea, paying attention to every little detail, realizing projects that are important for people health. Moreover, throughout all this time I had the opportunity to observe her dedication to her tasks, her enthusiasm and her excellence at being a team player no matter the circumstances. Cristina is an excellent co-worker and I would consider her as an asset in any group not only for her expertise, but also for her friendly nature, congeniality and ability to work as a team. Cristina is a talented and knowledgeable and I would not hesitate to recommend her for any position in her field. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further queries. Kind regards, Romina Cervigni

I used to teach Mediterranean Food History and Culture courses for the University of Southern California using food production, distribution, and consumption as a lens to understand historical, economic, cultural, and social changes. I investigated the close connection between food production and consumption and: 1) human rights by analyzing human beings’ exploitation in the past and the present and ancient and contemporary slavery and by exploring fair trade movement and production; 2) the environment by investigating the environmental impact of food production and consumption and the postmodern search for sustainability. Furthermore, I analyzed food as a tool to create cultural exchange and integration or division and segregation. I also examined the history of fasting and the search for longevity and immortality. Lastly students experienced food tastings, cooking classes, olive and grape harvest, food “migrant tours” to learn how to understand, analyze, and appreciate the mechanisms of taste and the strong connection between food and memory.
