My responsibilities include performing chemistry analysis of blood and urine, urine drug screen testing, hematology and coagulation testing, viral marker testing, urinalysis and osmometry. Routinely perform testing for large numbers of samples with STAT turnaround times. Able to work independently, multitask, prioritize and organize workloads, and produce results for samples with short turnaround times. Responsible for monitoring supply inventory and ordering laboratory supplies. Created and implemented a system to track lot expiration dates and alert staff when reagents are nearing expiration. Regularly perform daily, monthly and as needed maintenance on laboratory analyzers. Primary trainer for new laboratory staff members. Created training resources such as PowerPoint slides, procedure instructions, troubleshooting guides and quick reference materials. Maintains the clinical laboratory calendar and schedule. Responsible for scheduling PRN staff for weekend and evening coverage. Responsible for creating and administering the PRN proficiency testing program. Experienced in the operation and maintenance of the following analyzers: Cobas Integra 800, Sysmex XE-5000, Sysmex XT-1800, Sysmex CA-620, Sysmex CA-1500, Urisys 2400, Urisys 1100, Vitros Eci, Vitros 3600, Stago Satellite, Micro-Osmette Osmometer, Chrono-Log Platelet Aggregometer and YSI 2300. Have completed the following training courses: Sysmex CA-1500 Operator Training course in September 2016, Vitros 3600 Integrated System Key Operator Course in May 2012, and Sysmex XE-5000 Basic Operator Training Course in May 2008.
