I had the opportunity to work with Cristina and guide her master internship project within the Prepared Beverages development team at Friesland Campina. Cristina was very enthusiastic about being presented with a challenging technical topic and proactively looked for ways to tackle it. Through the course of the project she was very collaborative and quickly learnt about the day-to-day activities of a development team. During her project, Cristina had to contribute to organize and execute laboratory scale tests, align with several people within the Friesland Campina organization and extract and organize data; which she did successfully.

Project: “Lactose-free Sweetened condensed milk” Main challenge: Answer to a FrieslandCampina customer question about the feasibility of making Lactose-free Sweetened Condensed Milk (SCM). Responsibilities: - Lactose-free SCM marketing research - Literature research needed throughout the execution of projects - Conception and formulation of laboratory and pilot scale trials - Biochemical, physical characterization of new prototypes - Analysis of data, elaboration of report and presentations.
