I am currently responsible for the supervision and evaluation of 11 Avionics Technicians, and for the maintenance conducted in support of three flight companies. These three flight companies include: a V.I.P company that uses UH-60L helicopters, a cargo flight company that has multiple CH-47F Chinook helicopters at its disposal, and a medevac company that utilizes HH-60M helicopters for training and emergencies. I am also responsible for toolbox inventories, making sure our test sets are calibrated to date, making sure all safety procedures are executed according to the technical manuals while maintenance is being conducted on these aircraft.

I arrived to D co 1-214th Aviation Regiment, Wiesbaden Army Airfield on August 10th, 2015 as an avionics technician in support of a V.I.P flight company that conducted Presidential and Department of Defense missions all across Europe. I was responsible for conducting proper avionics maintenance on 12, UH-60A Blackhawk helicopters. I went on countless mission flights to 12 different European countries to support officials such as Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter, Army Chief of Staff General Mark A. Milley, and Vice President Joe Biden. On December 1st, 2016, I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and became the supervisor of the Avionics Section that consisted of 8 avionics technicians. My job responsibilities as the section sergeant were to: ensure that avionics test sets were calibrated on time, inspect the work conducted on aircraft by my section, and to train the avionics technicians so that they could become subject matter experts. I was also the only Avionics Technical Inspector, and the Maintenance Supervisor for Shops Platoon, which consisted of: Avionics, Powertrain, Powerplant, Hydraulics, and Airframe sections.

After returning to home station at the end of January 2014, I was in charge of supervising the newly attained technicians that recently graduated from U.S. Army Aviation Logistics School, and trained them on how to properly conduct aircraft maintenance. A few months after returning from deployment I was sent to the Corpus Christi Army Depot where I trained and got certified as an IPC Specialist which consists of the soldiering and assembly of electrical components, and worked at the depot plant, which helped me acquire experience in the assembly of multiple CH-47 helicopter electrical components.

I arrived at Bagram Air Base, Afghanistan on May 11th, 2013 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. I was stationed here with Task Force Phoenix which consisted of 3-10th General Support Aviation Battalion, 277th Aviation Support Battalion, and aviation units from California, Pennsylvania, Texas, Oklahoma, and Massachusetts National Guard. I was responsible for the avionics maintenance conducted on 24 UH-60A/L/M helicopters and 18 CH-47D/F helicopters. While I was deployed I successfully completed more than 1500 work orders, which consisted of over 2500 man hours of maintenance. In the avionics section I was the person in charge of labeling, storing and handling of Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT), and in charge of updating the safety board which consisted of emergency items in case of electrocution or injury in the work place.

I arrived to Fort Drum, New York on March 1st, 2012, after graduating from the U.S. Army Aviation Logistics School with my Avionics Mechanic certification. My job when I first arrived to this duty station was to study the technical manuals to understand the theory of operation of all avionics components aboard UH-60A/M and CH-47F helicopters. I assisted the senior technicians in the avionics section by helping them troubleshoot tedious faults and in return, I gained valuable experience that helped prepare me for the deployment to Afghanistan. I was sent to the National Training Center located at Fort Irwin, California for a month rotation for pre-deployment training which helped me prepare for the weather conditions in Afghanistan. While at the training center I gained experience working on AH-64D Apache helicopters by helping the armament section troubleshoot electrical components, taught a class that consisted of the VHF radio system and conducted two Down Aircraft Recovery Team (DART) missions. Upon returning to home station I studied and took the test for the FCC radio and radar license which I obtained.
