This research was held at the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation of Harvard Medical School at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. • Leveraged the impact of an MIT ankle-powered prosthetic on individuals who went through a transtibial amputation due to Diabetes Mellitus type 2; • Proved that a robotic prosthetic that assisted individuals during the push-off phase of the gait cycle results in an improvement in the subject’s gait pattern and metabolic cost advantage.
