Cristian was my manager on a variety of projects for different periods of time over many years and he was undoubtedly the best manager I’ve ever had. First of all, Cristian is someone who everybody is happy to work with because of his natural empathy and interest in people. He is capable of active listening and can offer continuous support to his colleagues because of his ability to use facts and data to explain and motivate and it was this unique skill which made the difference in uncertain and confusing situations. Having worked with him on the Agile transition process, I can say his contribution has been fundamental both in terms of the mindset he provided and also in terms of active effort. For example, when the problem couldn’t be solved by the team and required external input, Cristian was always the go-to person who was able to provide guidance and solutions by using a collaborative approach that became everybody’s reference point. He was able to successfully lead many critical aspects of projects including interactions with other Business Units by maintaining effective communication, estimating and planning work, and continuously prioritizing and reviewing. This approach also fostered the growth and development of people in terms of training and responsibilities. The importance he always assigned to the technical aspects of the work, including effective evaluation of the Technical Debt, supported our efforts as engineers in our ongoing goal for technical excellence. To sum up, his dedication to us all as individuals and as a team really made the difference in the long run and I highly recommend him to any organization looking for a competent and reliable leader.

I had the pleasure to works together with Cristian in several projects. WE both lead 2 groups that are in different BU of CISCO and are strongly linked each other in a main big project that is used by several customer. It was important in our job that both the team was always in synch to reach the common release date. I had several time the chance to see the capacity of Cristian to drive the team in accordance with the scheduled time frame and the internal releases with the main goal of the customer satisfaction.
