The role allowed me to expand on project management & project execution, relationship management, and solution building inside a fast moving, yet evolving & growing business with multiple verticals. This role called on a full IT canvas of skills built over my career to date, and evolved these nicely.

  As a national IT Digital Lead for the Manufacturing industry within the Coles Group, my role has expanded as Coles explores ways the wider business can be more efficient through opportunities in the Manufacturing sector across Australia. With a focus on the Group owned businesses and processes, the wider manufacturing influenced Coles divisions and contracted external businesses also fall to my remit to ensure the flow of data, the efficiency of business execution, and support for all operating elements. Future solution building and understanding of current technologies and constraints to ensure the IT roadmap is built for the Coles interest in the manufacturing industry remains a key function consideration ongoing.

  Brought into the Coles business to support a major group asset, my initial focus was on the operational excellence of the continent's largest multi species protein processing facility. With a heavy time investment on operational stabilisation and improvement of process, this role saw the execution of multiple projects, including: Expansion and integration of a new manufacturing execution system Delivery of an operational data archive solution for multiple core production systems Installation and change management of new functional processing areas within the facility Continuous delivery of operational improvements through multiple small projects as a program of work Execution of a stabilisation program of work reducing downtime, operational inefficiency, and removal of persistent workaroundsI continued to manage a team of operational analysts, take on major vendor management, and integrated to the senior leadership team to assist with the wider operations and strategy in conjunction with project execution, and give greater visibility to the IT space.

I gained essential understanding of global manufacturing practices, processes, and opportunities in the Food Manufacturing space through extensive travel due to recognition of Marel being a major international organisation in the Manufacturing space.

  As a Senior Test Analyst I was responsible for the generation of multiple test cases and automation of testing using the Tricentis TOSCA automation suite. The role also supported the delivery of a major system, functional, procedural, integration, and hardware change for the Manufacturing Execution System moving from a legacy SAStek processing system to Marel's Innova full execution and integrated hardware solution. Along with this, the opportunity to define Master Data Management, centralised integration via BizTalk middleware, and major inventory management & business process change was undertaken for which I heavily supported the business analysis and project management. Given the major transformational nature of the works in this role, and the minimal resources available, I was a key contributor to the progression of the Tegel business as the company was building its efficiencies and pushing simplification.
